History
Being a volume shipping-agent Van Leeuwen Container Service BV from Oosterhout (Noord-Brabant) is a well known player in the market. This family-owned company exists already 75 years and has it’s 3d generation at the wheel. Founded bij Mr.J.van Leeuwen there has been continuously worked at lasting entrepreneurship where long-term realization is being emphasized instead of short-term profit. In 1962 the fixed construction appeared. The swopbody with a volume of 50m³ was introduced. In 1983 the measurements were expanded from 50m³ to 60m³. In 1996 the measurements of the swopbody legally binded in a new European Legislation. As of 3d of December 2006 these new measurements were being obligated through which the total length of the loading platform was allowed to be 15.65m. Being one of the Dutch pioneers in the field of the use of the swopbody, the company still distinguishes itself within the world of shipping-agents with it’s specific form of logistics.After the invention of the ocean container the swopbody became undisputed not only the most efficient form of continental road transport but also for storage as well as transshipment. Despite of the specialism in volume transportation all the conventional transports are certainly not excluded and is the company still growing. Besides transportation also storage and transshipment have been added tot the provision of services. Lots of importance is being attached to the delivery of total quality in all fields and is always being aimed for. Who doesn’t recognize the bluegrey trucks with the big lion head on it!
Location
Since May 2008 Van Leeuwen Container Service BV is located at a new location in Oosterhout at the site of ‘Gooikensdam’. At this location, at 3 minutes away from the highway A27 and A59, we are right at ‘axle of Western Europe’.
Fleet of trucks
Van Leeuwen Container Service BV owns 60 swopbodies with 1250 containers. These containers can act as your own mobile warehouse, which gives you the advantage to load and unload at a time favourable to any desired moment. The representative and very modern fleet of ‘big volume’ trucks have a maximumloading capacity of 25 ton. The drivers feel totally at home in their truck ; they speak the language en are familiar with the laws and culture of the country in which they are working. As your own ‘ambassador’ the drive your cargo to the desired destination.Van Leeuwen Container Service BV knows the roads like nobody else and from experience they also know that providing Service has priority for all of their customers.

Specialized in volume transport our working area is in the Benelux, Germany and Northern France. Within a radius of 700 km around Oosterhout you can find our stream of transport. With a storage capacity of 75.000m³ the containers offer a loading platform of nearly 10km. For that reason only it is fair to say that Van Leeuwen Container Service BV is a highly experienced partner in the logistics of containers.
