Since many years we use a diesel oil surcharge, because of the fluctuating diesel oil prices. For the calculation of this allowance we use the prices which are fixed by BP. Under to this page you find an overview of the last periods.
Example calculation diesel oil surcharge.
At every price increase of € 0.03 the diesel oil surcharge will be raised by 1%, rounded off to whole percentages. The basic price (diesel oil price) where the percentage is based upon in this example as of 10-01-2008 is € 1,0114. The diesel oil price at 01-03-2008 was € 1,05 per liter. The calculation goes as follows:

Is the rate of a trip € 220,- than you will be charged as follows:
220 + 2.20 (1%) = € 222.20
By the end of 2008 the diesel oil prices have dropped slowly which worked in the benefit of the customer. This could give the next calculation:
